Chemistry


Vision
The development of fundamental understanding, with the emphasis on new structural, synthetic and theoretical techniques applicable in both academic and industrial context.
 
Mission
We aim to provide the students with sound preparation for requirement of modern industry and provide competency in basic academic research as well as a cohesive, clearly structured overview of Chemistry.
 
Goals and Objectives
• To provide a complete description of Chemistry we live in.
• To give more systematic direction to interdisciplinary Chemistry.
• To solidify and extend student’s scientific attitude, habit of investigation, sense of observation and understanding of the concepts of Chemistry.
• To obtain more attention from commoners (students) towards Chemistry and its temperament.

  • Insecticides Limited, Rasayani for T.Y.B.Sc. Chemistry students on 2nd January 2004.
 
Industrial training :
  • Students were placed for 10 days industrial training in Hindustan Insecticides Limited, Rasayani.
 
Conduct of projects :
  The department had compeleted following projects -
• Food adulteration.
• Laboratory safety, house safety and road safety.
• Chemical analysis of soil.
• Water analysis.
 
 
Postgraduate center :
  The department has started M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from the academic year 2003 - 2004.
 
Future plans :
  • To start M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry.
  • To undertake research projects in collaboration with industries as well as with research organisations.
  • To establish a well equipped research center.
