Departmental activities :
  • Department organises various competitions such as elocution, essay writing, poetry reading and hand writing for the overall development of students. These competitions are providing excellent opportunities to flourish the inner qualities.
  • Department conducted one-day workshop on ‘Writing of application letters and bio- data’ to train the student in impressive written presentation.
  • Organised a visit to Vishnudas Bhave Theatre, Vashi for the first and second year students to review marathi drama entitled ‘Yada kadachit’
  • Following eminent personalities were invited for various programmes by the Department of Marathi.
- Hon. Shri. Mangesh Padgaonkar (Renowned Poet) He impressed the students with his excellent skill of poetry reading. He revealed his remarkable craftsmanship and demonstrated lively how poetic competence is different from other literacy genres.
- Hon. Shri. Pravin Davane (Leading Writer and Poet) He had told the funny incidents of college students. While explaning how students are moulded and formed in their college life, he shared his own experience of college life.
- Hon. Dr. Kishor Shantabai Kale Dr. Kishor Kale explained his personal life to the students. He quite openly displayed his extraordinary social and family background. Similarly, he told the students how he overcame various obstacles in his life and became a doctor.
- Hon. Arun Sadhu (Renowned Writer) In his speech he shared his thoughts with the students about the difference between his generation and present generation in context with social and scientific changes and development. He presented the fact that a true writer always tries to reflect these changes through literature.
  • Department regularly organises parent-teachers meeting to discuss the problems of the students.
  • Spot tests are conducted in order to keep high awareness among the students. Completion of each topic is followed by test, which is helpful in students progress.

  • Attended a seminar on ‘Sahitya vedh-1975 nantarche marathi sahitya’ from 31st January to 1st February 2004 oraganised by University of Mumbai.
  • Attended a seminar on ‘Christee sahithyache marhathitil yogdan’ on 21st February 2004 organised by University of Mumbai and Sant Gonsala Garsia College, Wasai.
  • Attended a national seminar on ‘Adivasi sahitya’ on 28th February 2004 organised by Arts, Commerce and Science College, Shivale.
  • Participated in orientation course at Academic Staff College, University of Pune from 22nd March to 18th April 2004.
  • Attended a workshop on revised syllabus for S.Y.B.A.(paper no.-II and paper no.-III) on 27th June 2004 organised by C. H. M. College, Ulhasnagar.
  • Attended a seminar on ‘Marathi bhasha va sahitya - Adhyapanatil navin avhane ‘on 22nd and 23rd February 2002 organised by C. H. M. College, Ulhasnagar.
