It is my pride privilege to present the Self-study Report of the college to all of you. As we look back and introspect honestly about the sincere efforts that we put in preparing ourselves for accreditation, we must admit that the entire exercise has been a soul-satisfying and enriching experience. The realisation has dawned upon us that, it is the quality of the process which determines the quality of the product. Accordingly, the curriculum has been restructured, innovations introduced to make learning participatory and interesting. Activities have been extended beyond curriculum and an earnest a�empt to create an ambience responsive to stakeholders’ expectations and concerns has also been made. Our objective is to ensure that, the net outcome of the varied experiences the institution offers, leads to the development of well informed, creative, physically agile and emotionally balanced students capable of contributing positively in the task of nation building. Our approach has been slow and steady; but, we are confident of going further. The process of preparing Self-study Report, though initiated with an intention to get accredited at national level, led us to make the changes in ourselves.
As development is, ‘ever changing and never ending process’, submi�ing ourselves for accreditation, we perceive this, as the beginning and not the end of our pursuit for quality and excellence in higher education. The pursuit has opened our eyes to what we perceive as our strengths, our weaknesses, our opportunities and our threats. The onward journey, is indeed, long and arduous. But, the endeavor continues with the sole aim of excelling in everything we do, which ultimately will be reflected in the realised aspirations of our learners who repose their faith in us and expect a future from us. We have miles to go and miles we will go to make the Changu Kana Thakur Arts, Commerce and ScienceCollege an ideal learning centre as it has always been since 1997.
I whole heartedly welcome the members of NAAC Peer Team and look forward to useful interaction with them about our progress.
